What is a Pre-Licensing enrollment code?

What is an NPN and where do I find it?
Your National Producer Number (NPN) is a unique identifier assigned to licensed insurance agents by the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). If you are a new agent who has not yet obtained a license, you may not have an NPN yet — that is completely normal. Existing producers can find their NPN by visiting NIPR.com and searching the producer database.
What happens after I complete the pre-licensing course?
Once you complete your required pre-licensing education hours, you will receive a certificate of completion. You then schedule and sit for the Illinois state licensing exam administered through Pearson VUE. Upon passing, you submit your license application through the Illinois Department of Insurance.
